Project A
Challenge: The challenge for organizations that use a small to midsize Transportation Management System (TMS) often lies in integration with other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM)systems. This client needed to integrate specialized routing software with a TMS, ERP, and CRM. This included varied and complex data flows between systems and understanding the unique needs of the client. Furthermore, pre-existing manual processes led to errors, delays, and lack of real-time data, hindering overall efficiency and operational accuracy.
Solution: We developed a custom and scalable integration architecture that ensured seamless connectivity between the TMS and other enterprise systems and it aligned closely with the company's specific processes and workflows. We were also able to implement data quality screens and cleansing processes, ensuring improved data quality. Our solution used the latest in Azure cloud technology including Azure Logic Apps and Function Apps. The integrations not only enhanced and tracked operational efficiencies, but also ensured accuracy and timeliness in managing operations.
Outcome: Vendor-led integrations are often expensive and don’t consider the custom workflows of clients across multiple systems. As a result of this effort, our clients experienced a significant boost in operational efficiency, reduced errors, and integrations that fit their specific workflows.
Project B
Challenge: The need for a robust routing tool that integrates with the company's work orders/customer API and a zip code/polygon database to efficiently manage customer locations and create optimal route zones.
Solution: Developed a “heavy lifting” routing tool that integrates seamlessly with the company's existing systems. The tool maps customer locations and allows specialists to create route zones using zip codes or more complex polygon constructions. Additionally, it includes screens for displaying and adjusting loads, as well as exporting and saving data to the ERP and CRM systems.
Outcome: The implementation resulted in enhanced efficiency in route planning and load management. Specialists can now create and adjust route zones with greater flexibility and accuracy, leading to improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Project C
Challenge: Route planners in two specific industries were struggling to balance a variety of constraints: employee availability, client time windows, truck capacity, territories, real-time traffic, efficient routes, and fuel efficiency.
Solution: Using Azure's AI and machine learning services, the software dynamically adjusted schedules based on real-time employee availability and client delivery time windows. Azure Maps provided real-time traffic data, enabling the software to reroute drivers and avoid delays due to congestion and road closures. By leveraging Azure's scalable computing power, vast amounts of data could be used to calculate the most efficient routes and ensure optimal truck capacity utilization.
Outcome: A 30% reduction in fuel costs and a 23% increase in on-time deliveries. By optimizing routes and truck capacities, the software reduced unnecessary mileage and ensured more efficient delivery schedules. This also improved delivery reliability, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
